end of the year lists are terribly cliche. but i dont care. listed below are the 10 best songs of 2011 as i found them. you may disagree, and you’re entitled to that. i’m also entitled to either disagree with you or not give a fuck what you think. that remains to be seen. enjoy:

i told myself that 2010 would be “the year of harrison.” in many ways, it was. if you told me that a year ago, i would have spit at you and kicked you below the belt. not really, but i probably would have told you to fuck yourself. i had no money, no job prospects, and had just moved back in with my parents. things turned up for yours truly, slowly but surely. i slept on a floor in a studio apartment shared with two other dudes, affectionately known as the bro cave. i got to save money, live in mid-wilshire, and give people interesting stories to share for years to come. then i got a full-time job, a smokin-hott girlfriend who likes sports and choice beers (miller lite, notsomuch), my own apartment and a california drivers license (legally! haha!). as 2011 approaches, i look forward to my first full year in los angeles and the chance to start something interesting for myself. i guess you can call it the beginning of chapter 3, life after college. here are my new year’s resolutions, albeit clichéd and poorly worded, they are goals, things, etc that i would like to see/do/eat in 2011.

here goes nothing:

- go snow skiing on the west coast: never done it, hear it’s much easier than new england.

- get a nicer apartment: not that the place i live in necessarily sucks, but it could be better in a few choice categories; bugs, thugs and pussies being the choice few.

- actually try to learn how to play guitar: it’s been about 3 years since i bought my first acoustic guitar, and i can still barely play one whole song straight through, and bar chords are a pipe dream.

- be healthier: i just got my physical therapy papers yesterday, so i’ll be able to finally take care of myself. eating better, drinking less, and finally running should kick start that, so we’ll see what happens.

- be nicer: let’s face it, if you know me, you know i’m a dick. i don’t really think about others, but being self-centered is what got me this far, and it’s all i know. the unknown is good, and the people around me (especially my hott sexy girlfriend) deserve better.

- make more money: greed is good, son. i got bills to pay, and sallie mae will break my knees if i don’t bring that green.

i think that about sums it up. those are pretty important and achievable. have a happy and healthy new years, and read laid n plaid. you wont be disappointed. maybe i’ll even brett favre you and text you my penis if you’re lucky.

2010 was cool, 2011 is looking up.
